Far Longer than Forever

Everyone thought Kyle and I were crazy for planning our wedding so quickly. But I simply did not want a wedding in any of the winter months, and we didn't want to wait until the spring. We thought Thanksgiving week was our best bet, since his sisters would be home from school, and my brothers would be out of school. I'm so thankful for my mother in law. She did SO much to put together an amazing day. Kyle's cousin Rachel had just recently gotten married, so she helped out a lot too.
The morning of the wedding I woke up bright and early to get ready. 5 am to be exact. Kyle picked me up so we could go to the temple together. That morning in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, the love of my life and I were sealed for time and all eternity. We came out of the temple and took tons of pictures. Considering it was the end of November, we got really lucky with the weather. It was pretty windy, but it was sunny and beautiful. While Kyle and I were taking pictures of just the two of us, everyone else went to set up for lunch.
We invited everyone who was at the temple to a luncheon. It turned out to be one of my favorite parts of the day. We gave our guests the opportunity to get up and say something about Kyle and I. My bridesmaids and family had me to tears. And Kyle's groomsmen sang a song that was hilarious.
The reception turned out great. We didn't know how many people would be able to make it since it was the day before Thanksgiving, and they didn't have very much notice. We ended up having a great turnout. I got to see some friends I hadn't seen in a long time, and meet some very close friends and family of Kyle's family.
The cake cutting, our first dance, the daddy daughter dance, the greeting line, our car being "decorated" was all so much fun. Our first dance was so special. For a moment it felt like we were the only ones in the room.
We have many people to thank for our amazing wedding day. It was truly the best day of my entire life. I can't wait to see what we have ahead of us in life.

We haven't gotten all of the pictures from our photographer yet, but the ones we have so far are wonderful. I also added some really cute ones taken by others!

Joy does not Simply Happen to us

A Little over a year ago, I met Kyle on my first Sunday in my singles ward here in Utah. Lucky for us, he was on the fellow shipping committee, so we basically had to talk to each other. That day, I knew there was a such thing as love at first sight. The next Sunday, Kirsten and I stalked his life on facebook, because he was considerably the cutest guy in our ward. When we found him on facebook, he told us he had been trying to find us too. :P The following day Kirsten and I ordered a pizza, because we had a coupon. Come to find out, you can only use coupons if you go in the store. Sooo, we called up Kyle to see if he could give us a ride to the pizza place, and he told us only if we went to FHE with him. After FHE he invited us back to his house to watch a movie. After a couple of nights of watching movies until 3 am, he asked me on a date. Over the past year, he has become my best friend, and the love of my life. I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else. We have had our major ups and downs, but they have just brought us closer together. So a couple of weeks ago we decided it's finally the right time for us to get married. This past Friday was one of the best nights of my life. Kyle picked me up from work, and when we got to his house, he told me to stay in the car until he told me to come in. When I went inside, he had a card taped to the wall that said "read immediately." At the end of the card he said there were some reasons why he loved me on note cards lining up all the way down the hall way. The last card said, "I could fill every card on this planet with reasons, just get in here already!" In the kitchen, he had set the table, and he was standing there holding a kitten and roses. I didn't know what to take first, so I just took the roses and set them down, then held the kitten. After I took the kitten, he got down on one knee, made it short and sweet and just asked if I would marry him. We ate the amazing dinner he fixed, AND he bought me my favorite ice cream. He spoiled me that night, to say the least. So, the kitten...was one I had been wanting from the humane society. I saw his picture on the website the week before, and just fell in love. Later that week, his picture wasn't on the website anymore, and I kind of gave up on looking for kittens. Low and behold, Kyle was the one who adopted him. His name is Toby, and he is the cutest kitten ever. We know it's really soon, but we are getting married November 23rd, and we are SO excited.

Hello September

A new blog post is long overdue. I moved into my new apartment a few weeks ago, and so far, I really like it. My roommates are really awesome. I'm actually pretty excited for classes to start next week. Besides my Art History class. I haven't heard very good things about it. I really like my new ward as well. Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. If I were still in Ohio, I would be really excited that it's almost fall, but here in Utah, it seems to go straight from 80 degrees to 30. I miss the pretty trees and the cooler weather. I'm sure I will be back to blogging all of the time once class starts, but right now my life really isn't that exciting!

This is our entertainment center...fancy, huh?

House Hunting

So I'm extremely sick of the house I live in. I've met some really awesome girls (a few of my best friends), but I cannot deal with living with eight girls again. Especially for the price I pay. Now maybe I'm being too picky, but I've been feverishly looking for apartments for a few weeks now and I'm not having any luck. I just want a place that I can call home until I'm married and/or finished with school. If I were rich I would just have my own, little, one bedroom place. I don't really have any desire to have roommates. I can't wait to have my own house, so I can decorate it really cute. I wish I could just fast forward to the future and already be married, finished with school, with a real job. SO! I wrote that on...Friday I think, and today I got approved for an apartment at Citifront with three other girls! I'M SO EXCITED. My rent is 100 dollars less, but the apartment is 100 times nicer. I'm probably going to move in the weekend after I get home. I posted an ad on KSL saying a was looking for no more than 3 roommates, and I had a lot of responses, but the girls that kept in contact, and I all kind of put our apartment ideas together and found this place. It's an actual complex with a pool, workout room, etc. It's right behind the Gateway, and just as close to the school as my house is now. I've talked to two of my three roommates on the phone and they seem really nice. One of them as a puppy, which I'm pretty excited about! My roommates names are Victoria, Alicia, and Lindsay. Did I mention how excited I am?! :D I'm also pretty excited for my classes. I'm taking all of them on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I can work every other day. I'm taking Book of Mormon, Art History, Critical Thinking and Reason, American Civilization, and Intro to Geography. I thought taking all of my classes two days a week would make for a crazy schedule, but my earliest class is at 9:20 and my latest ends at 8:10..so not too bad! School starting brings up another point...I have to quit one of my jobs. I made a pros and cons list today for each job, and I still have no idea! Forever 21 or Victoria's Secret? Hmm.

Crazy Girl

Baby why you wanna cry?
You really oughta know that I
Just have to walk away sometimes
We’re gonna do what lovers do
We’re gonna have a fight or two
But I ain’t ever changin’ my mind
Crazy girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately?
I love you like crazy, girl
Wouldn’t miss a single day
I’d probably just fade away
Without you, I’d lose my mind
Before you ever came along
I was livin’ life all wrong
Smartest thing I ever did was make you all mine
Crazy girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately?
I love you like crazy, girl
Crazy girl
Crazy girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately,
I love you like
Crazy, girl, don’t you know that I love you?
And I wouldn’t dream of goin’ nowhere
Silly woman, come here, let me hold you
Have I told you lately?
I love you like crazy, girl

This is why I need to be with someone who loves country music as much as I do, so he can sing me cute songs like this. :)

Ohio Bound!

In two short days, I am returning to buckeye country for a couple of weeks. I am beyond excited! I'm excited to have two weeks off of work, to see my family and friends, to be away from responsibilities, have my mom cook for me, go to church in my own ward, sleep in a house with air conditioning, and so on! :) There are a few things I really want to do while I'm at home:

Spend all time that Kelsey Spahr isn't at work, with her
Zoombezi Bay!
Cedar Point?!?
Steak&Shake and BDub's
Rocky's Italian Ice
Delaware Dam
Shopping at Polaris
Columbus Zoo

All Things are Difficult Before They are Easy

I have an interview for a receptionist position tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed big time because I really want/need the job. As much as I love shopping, I'm so sick of going to the mall every day for both of my jobs. I want a real job where I sit at a desk, do paper work, answer the phone, and have a computer. I know I will still have to deal with mean, stupid people, but I feel like they won't be as...stupid. People come into F21 and VS as means of sheer entertainment. To try on clothes. Mean while, I'm working my bum off to put those clothes back and keep the store organized, while people ask me the craziest questions. There is no progression in my job. People mess up clothes, I fix them. Day after day. I want a job where I can go home feeling accomplished, or thinking, man I have a lot to get done at work tomorrow morning. The kind of things I have to worry about now are how many boxes of bras I'm going to have to sensor, or whether or not I'm going to be a cashier, because that's the job that makes the day go by fastest. This receptionist job would also make me happy because the hours are consistent. 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. My hours at work now are so random. Sometimes I have to be at work at 6am and other times I'm at work until 6 am. (Not worth minimum wage). Not to mention, I've worked a couple 13 hour shifts where I only got one 15 minute break. So please pray that I will do well at my interview. It's for my sanity. :) Also! I get to see Sadie tomorrow. She's passing through on her way to Colorado, so we get to hang out all day tomorrow after my interview. AND..I'm going home in two weeks. WOO!
