My senior year of high school I had full intentions on going to Ohio State. I would still be close to my family and friends, and it's a really good school. After I got into BYU Idaho and found out one of my best friends was going there, I decided that's where I really wanted to go. My plan was to stay at home until January 2011 and just work. Toward the end of July 2010, I started having second thoughts about not starting school until January. I've always wanted to live in Utah, so one night I just typed in google "Schools near Salt Lake City." The LDS Business College popped up first, so I did some research. I told my mom to get ready, because we were going on a road trip. My mom was surprisingly supportive. Within a couple of weeks I was all packed up and ready to venture almost 2,000 miles from home. I got out here a few weeks before classes started, so my roommate Kirsten and I were the only new people in our ward. Kyle was on the fellowship committee, so he was one of the first people I met in the ward. The first time he winked at me, I secretly knew in my heart that he was the one. Our relationship started out with Kirsten and I having a coupon for pizza. Little did we know, you had to go in the store to get the discount. And we didn't have a car. So we called up Kyle. He agreed to take us to get pizza if we went to family home evening with him. After FHE, he invited us over to his house to watch a movie. This became a nightly occurrence. One night while we were watching a movie, he asked me if I wanted to go on a real date. Our first date we want to Red Iguana, Memory Grove (where we took our engagement pictures), and he used the whole "let's watch a scary movie so we can cuddle" excuse. :) It didn't take long for us to become best friends and fall in love. We hit a couple of big speed bumps to get to this point, but it was well worth it!

and plants a fire in our hearts
and brings peace to the soul."
