Ohio Bound!

In two short days, I am returning to buckeye country for a couple of weeks. I am beyond excited! I'm excited to have two weeks off of work, to see my family and friends, to be away from responsibilities, have my mom cook for me, go to church in my own ward, sleep in a house with air conditioning, and so on! :) There are a few things I really want to do while I'm at home:

Spend all time that Kelsey Spahr isn't at work, with her
Zoombezi Bay!
Cedar Point?!?
Steak&Shake and BDub's
Rocky's Italian Ice
Delaware Dam
Shopping at Polaris
Columbus Zoo

All Things are Difficult Before They are Easy

I have an interview for a receptionist position tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed big time because I really want/need the job. As much as I love shopping, I'm so sick of going to the mall every day for both of my jobs. I want a real job where I sit at a desk, do paper work, answer the phone, and have a computer. I know I will still have to deal with mean, stupid people, but I feel like they won't be as...stupid. People come into F21 and VS as means of sheer entertainment. To try on clothes. Mean while, I'm working my bum off to put those clothes back and keep the store organized, while people ask me the craziest questions. There is no progression in my job. People mess up clothes, I fix them. Day after day. I want a job where I can go home feeling accomplished, or thinking, man I have a lot to get done at work tomorrow morning. The kind of things I have to worry about now are how many boxes of bras I'm going to have to sensor, or whether or not I'm going to be a cashier, because that's the job that makes the day go by fastest. This receptionist job would also make me happy because the hours are consistent. 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. My hours at work now are so random. Sometimes I have to be at work at 6am and other times I'm at work until 6 am. (Not worth minimum wage). Not to mention, I've worked a couple 13 hour shifts where I only got one 15 minute break. So please pray that I will do well at my interview. It's for my sanity. :) Also! I get to see Sadie tomorrow. She's passing through on her way to Colorado, so we get to hang out all day tomorrow after my interview. AND..I'm going home in two weeks. WOO!

To Love and Be Loved

It is a risk to love.
But what if it doesn't work out?
Ah, but what if it does.

Maybe it's true,
maybe we don't know what we have
until we've lost it.
but, maybe we don't know
what we're missing
until we find it.

Loved you once,
love you still,
always have,
always will.

"It's impossible" said pride.
"It's risky" said experience.
"It's pointless" said reason.
"Give it a try" whispered the heart.

Stop dreaming, start believing
Start living, stop fighting
Stop thinking, start laughing
Start loving, stop trying.

If you want to know
where your heart is,
look where your mind goes
when it wanders.

Love is not just about
finding the right person,
but creating a right relationship.
It's not about how much
love you have in the beginning,
but how much love
you build til the end.

Forget the reasons why it won't work,
and believe the one reason why it will.

Take a chance
because you never know how absolutely
perfect something could turn out to be.

Some people come into our lives,
leave footprints in our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same.

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul,
and makes us reach for more,
that plants a fire in our hearts
and brings peace to our minds.

Those three words,
are said too much,
they're not enough.

Run when Feeling the Pain then Push Harder

I woke up this morning with a mission in mind; find awesome, cheap, cute running shoes. I hunted all over the mall and other stores downtown and I FINALLY found a pair of Nike's for 20 bucks! I'm very picky about tennis shoes, so this was a great find for me. I haven't had running shoes in quite sometime so I haven't been running in quite sometime..I'm very out of shape. So I thought if I bought new shoes it would motivate me to go running. I started breaking them in as soon as I got home by running up to Capitol hill. So my new summer resolution is to go running at least a few times a week. My goal is to be able to run up Capitol hill and back home by the end of the summer. (Without dying). Although I don't enjoy running as much as some people, it does help me clear my mind and helps me justify all the ice cream cones I get from the Maverik. They are only a dollar...what can I say. I think I'm addicted to them. Not to mention, they have a punch card, buy ten cones get one free, and a friend of mine who works in there usually will punch half the card every time I go in. Although, I must say, these ice cream adventures were much more fun when Alina was here. Anyways..running. My new summer resolution!

Summer Lovin'

So, this is probably the longest I've ever gone without blogging, but I don't have much to blog about. Since I started working at Victoria's Secret, I spend most of my time at work, since I also kept my job at F21. I was reading through some old posts the other day and there was one that said, "I wish I worked at Victoria's Secret just for the discount." Well, while the discount is very nice, my hours are kind of crazy. Two days in a row last week I worked from 6 pm to 7 am. Yeah, AM. Careful what you wish for. ;) Alina Twitchell, moved back to Vegas, so when I'm not at work I'm extra bored. I miss her. BUT, I will see her next week at family camp. OH...Haleigh and I are getting an apartment together in the fall. I'm so excited! I wish she would come back right now, but then neither of us would have money for the apartment yet, so I guess I can wait. I have new song obsessions. It consists of four songs. Each of which, I listen to about five times a day:
Better Than Love- Griffin House
Someone Like You- Adele
Make You Feel My Love- Adele
If I Were You- Diagram of the Heart
We play the last song at F21, it puts me in a great mood, and I dance around the store every time we play it. I have another new thing...Transformers! I watched the first two movies the other day, then went a saw the third one..Me gusta mucho! Since I'm going camping next week, and probably going home in August, I found it very necessary to buy cute new carry-on stuff. I was scoping PINK stuff out the whole time I was at work today. I've had the same stupid Adidas duffel bag forever, and I'm sick of it. (I would just like to point out that spell check rejects both, "duffel" and "duffle" but I think "duffel" looks better). I also couldn't resist the cute weekend bag, so I went with both! Pretty nice purchase with my discount. :)
