Sleep is Overrated

Even though I'm exhausted, I can't sleep. There are a few reasons for that, but those aren't important. I guess I could share a couple of the reason with you. First of all, one of my roommates is in her room singing like she's about to try out for American Idol. This is what Simon would say to her, "OKAY OKAY OKAY, that's enough. Now do you honestly think that was good?" (British accent of course). Not to mention it's 2:18 am. Is she unaware of this? I mean I know I'm awake, but I'm blogging, which is almost a silent task. The rest of my roommates are watching a movie downstairs probably on the loudest volume setting possible. Do they mind? Sorry I don't have a life and I'm trying to sleep in the middle of the night on a Saturday. Anyways, work was good today. I worked my first eight hour shift, but it was actually the most fun day I've ever had at work. I felt like a 90 year old lady when I got off though. My back hurt, my neck hurt, and my feet hurt from standing all day. Oh thank goodness! Now someone is playing music to add to the noise! COOOOL. I'm not sure if I should scream really loud and try to get everyone's attention at once or if I should just sit here on the computer until the whole house is quiet? I've been thinking about this song all day and it's a good one, so I shall share!
If you're going out with someone new
I'm going out with someone too
I won't feel sorry for me, I'm getting drunk
But I'd much rather be somewhere with you
Laughing loud on a carnival ride, yeah
Driving around on a Saturday night
You made fun of me for singing my song
Got a hotel room just to turn you on
You said pick me up at three a.m.
You're fighting with your mom again
And I'd go, I'd go, I'd go somewhere with you
I won't sit outside your house
And wait for the lights to go out
Call up an ex to rescue me, climb in their bed
When I'd much rather sleep somewhere with you
Like we did on the beach last summer
When the rain came down and we took cover
Down in your car, out by the pier
You laid me down, whispered in my ear
I hate my life, hold on to me
Ah, if you ever decide to leave
Then I'll go, I'll go, I'll go
I can go out every night of the week
Can go home with anybody I meet
But it's just a temporary high 'cause when I close my eyes
I'm somewhere with you, somewhere with you
If you see me out on the town
And it looks like I'm burning it down
You won't ask and I won't say
But in my heart I'm always somewhere with you
Laughing loud on a carnival ride, yeah
Driving around on a Saturday night
You made fun of me for singing my song
Got a hotel room just to turn you on
You said pick me up at three a.m.
You're fighting with your mom again
And I'd go, I'd go, I'd go
I can go out every night of the week
Can go home with anybody I meet
But it's just a temporary high 'cause when I close my eyes
I'm somewhere with you, somewhere with you
Somewhere with you
I'm somewhere with you
I'm somewhere with you
Somewhere with you
Somewhere with you

Thanks Kenny Chesney <3

Oh I forgot to mention, Lady Gaga was in Salt Lake City tonight and let me tell ya, the real freaks come out when Gaga is in town! So many people were doing their last minute Gaga shopping at F21 today and it was not a pretty sight. I had a woman hold up a pair of underwear and tell me that's what she was wearing to the concert. Congrats on being a freak show, lady.
