Destiny is at Hand
I thought I would have a really hard time yesterday because it was Thanksgiving and I'm so far from home, but it ended up being a really good day. I went with Kyle's family here in Salt Lake. They weren't boring like my family and just ate and sat around. We played a card game called "scum." I guess I had beginners luck, but it wore off pretty quickly. Even though it was about five degrees outside and there was snow on the ground, Kyle's family insisted on playing football. For some reason I felt the need to go outside and watch them. By the time they were done I was almost positive my toes were going to fall off. The good news is I won "My Life on the Farm?" Or something like that. It was basically like monopoly except you had to buy cows instead of houses. And you had to pay expenses when your cows got hit by cars, struck by lightening, or got out of the gate and onto your neighbors lawn. Well I ended up with 60 cows, wooo! So I've never really believed in ghosts. I can watch a million scary movies about ghosts and not get scared. But after living in this house for a few months, I'm starting to feel a different way. Kyle and I were sitting in the living room last night, when we heard doors slamming upstairs. I figured it was just Kirsten and Haleigh, but when I went upstairs, Kirsten was just sitting in her bed and Haleigh was in the bathroom. A little while after that we all heard something that sounded like someone was throwing stuff. I went up the stairs and there was a flip flop, a water bottle, and a lint roller on the landing. Which is odd because all of those thing belong to the girls that have been out of town all week. Those three girls occupy the third floor; I had been up on the third floor earlier yesterday looking for something and hadn't turned any lights on. After I found the stuff on the staircase landing we noticed that all the lights on the third floor were on. We have all had other mysterious things happen to us, but last night made me officially afraid. I woke up this morning with the mind set of going to work at 3:30 until 7:30. For some reason I rechecked my phone and my schedule said 11:30-3:30. Needless to say, I had a minor heart attack. The store was so crazy today. Thank you, black Friday. The thing I hate most is going around the corner, thinking a dressing room is empty, and it looking like a closet exploded in there. Come on people, let's be a little bit more respectful. I watched Sleepless in Seattle tonight. It was pretty cute! Now I'm watching Talladega Nights which, as funny and stupid as it is, it kind of makes me sad..I hate when things like watching a movie reminds you of something you want to forget about.
